Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actor, was born on the 1st of October, 1995 in Berkeley, California. She is best known as an actor, having appeared as a character in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a filmmaker as well as an actor family. She pursued both professions her own. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento when she was nine, was her very first film. She played the leading role in Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) and also appeared in Michele Soavi's 1989 feature film The Church. In the following year, she was Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film which launched Asia's career path. Asia was able to transition from young girl roles to more mature and complicated roles. Cannes International Film Festival was a great movie's success. The actress has produced three films with her dad, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome and Phantom of the opera. The Phantom of the Opera is a film that was created together with her late father, is the third of three films she's worked on. The other two were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni employed her deeply absorbed and intense manner of acting in Condannato, a nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot. It was an international part. The collaboration she had together with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award, this time the David di Donatello and Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia began filmmaking and made two film shorts: Prospettive In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father and, in 1998, a film about cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) and was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia was first introduced as a feature director in Scarlet Diva (2000). In the film, she also starred and authored the screenplay. In May 2000, the film premiered in Italy as well as around the world. The film won a prize in the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Brooklyn. Anna Lou, her first child, was born to her in the year 2001. She has directed numerous music videos. She was a part of Jean-Marc Barr's performance in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she appeared with Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action-thriller. Asia is the author of numerous short stories that have been released in several magazines.
